Become part of the Sysco West Texas culinary team. You will be responsible for preparing specified products using the full range of equipment that would be found in a high end commercial kitchen. You will present and recommend Sysco products to a wide range of restaurant and commercial foodservice customers.Job Requirements:
1. Must have 2 to 3 years hands on experience as a sous chef in a commercial setting (e.g. restaurant or hotel). Must be able to document and prove experience.
2. Culinary Education required (Corporate education programs also accepted.
Please do NOT apply if you do not meet requirements 1 and 2.
Additional Job Requirements:
• Able to work 8A.M. to 5P.M. Monday through Friday (no weekends or evenings)
• Good verbal presentation skills and listening skills
• Comfortable writing complex recipes
• Able to follow a written recipe and verbal instruction from the Chef
• Working knowledge of commercial kitchen and equipment
• Working knowledge of ServSafe practices and principles along with hands on experience with the day to day sanitation of a commercial kitchen
• Must demonstrate the ability to work in a high pressure professional environment
• Capable of lifting 50lbs or more many times a day
• Daily cleaning required
• Occasional travel required
